CATHOLIC CHURCH and SCHOOL

Saint Vincent DePaul Society

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul , a Catholic lay organization leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Frederic Ozanam, and its patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
As a reflection of the whole family of God, members are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level.  They are united in an international society of charity by their spirit of poverty, humility, and sharing, which is nourished by prayer and reflection, mutually supportive gatherings, and adherence to a basic Rule.
Organized at the parish level, members live out a witness of God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice.  The Society collaborates with other people ofgood will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction among those served, because, in them, members see the face of Christ.
In plain English, if we know of someone in need, regardless of their church membership, or non membership, we help them.  We feed them, help them with rent or warm clothing or legal help or a trip to the doctor.  We arrange for medical services, medicine, home care and funerals! A very special part of our St. Vincent ministry at St. Bruno, is our outreach to the seasonal workers who live in our area while the work at various farms.  Our migrant ministry has been an ongoing effort of our Society and our parish for a very long time!
We also support several free, medical clinics, food pantries and have been instrumental in the leadership of the Waukesha County Society.
